Top 5 Bookish Christmas Gifts

It is official! Christmas is almost here already!

Christmas is by far, one of my most favourite times of the year; the whole family gets together, the sharing of gifts and love, as well as an amazing Christmas dinner. I have been searching this year for the best bookish Christmas presents, and have made a list of the ‘Top 5 Bookish Christmas Gifts’!

  1. 100 Book Scratch Bucket List Poster – £12.99

The 100 book scratch bucket list poster has 100 of the best novels ever written, to be scratched off as you read them. If you are like me, and always find yourself unable to put down a new book or just love to read when you’re down the beach? Curl up with 100 of the most well written books from classics to genre defining novels. Scratch off each illustration every time you complete another story. A great gift for any book lover!

2. Kindle Paperwhite – £119.99

I am in awe of the new Kindle Paper white! As well as being waterproof (handy for when you want to read at the beach or in the bath!), it now has twice the storage, from either 8GB or 32GB models.

The Kindle Paper white also has a build-in adjustable light which enables you to read indoors, outdoors, day or night.

Another big improvement is that Kindle Paper white also has Audible (can sign up for a 30 day trial here.), so you can connect your speakers or headphones and listen to your book.

With a Kindle, you can buy books and magazines from the Kindle store. You can have unlimited access to over 1 Million eBooks, and a selection of magazines through Kindle Unlimited, (can sign up for a free 30 day trial here) for just £7.99 a month.

3. Christmas Eve Box

The Christmas Eve box is a great idea for adults and children. I actually got this idea from my sister who has been doing a Christmas Eve box with her children every year, and they have always been a huge hit!

There is no actual ‘list’ of items which should go in a Christmas Eve box, as it is entirely up to the individual, but a few suggestions could be Snowman Soup (hot coco and marshmallows in a pot), Reindeer food (oats and glitter), sweets, Christmas book or film and some clothing like socks or PJ’s.

4. Book Sculpture

2ccab6e4889d99f0f4c08662034bfb50I only discovered book sculptures a few months ago, and wasn’t sure if I was keen on the idea of books being used to create a sculpture, but after seeing a few in shops and online, I really like the idea.

There are quite a few websites that create these designs but only from books that have reached their used date. This would be a really unique gift!

5. Personalised Bookmark

Bookmarks are always a great gift to buy for book lovers! They can be simple, sweet, themed, or personalised, whilst having the important task of holding a readers’ place in a book.

This is my list of my ‘Top 5 Bookish Christmas Gifts’. Let me know in the comments if you have had any of the following gifts, or if you have any suggestions!
